Travel through a developing country
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world. In addition to many years of the Terror by the red Khmer and endless civil wars, Cambodia is today exploited by the surrounding, emerging economies of Vietnam, Thailand and the West. In the cities, hundreds of thousands of women and children are working for 11 cents an hour in western cheap clothes, especially for Germany. The Cambodian population is very nice and helpful, especially to strangers.
The feeling of being threatened in any form is never and nowhere to be felt and the people appreciate strangers. The agricultural side of Cambodia is a dream, especially after the rainy season, which usually ends completely in the course of October. Then the landscape is green and blooming, a bustle in the fields, the people have to do most of the work on the land, but they are not hungry and are in a good mood. The ideal time to pass through the land.
